Make A Mug with Amy Saturday, June 14th 1-3 pm
Join me in my home studio in Ballard for a two hour workshop. 1-3 pm June 14th, 2025
Limited to Four people.
This class is for folks with little or no clay experience to come make a functional ceramic mug using the hand building method with soft slabs.
I will teach you how to texture the clay with all kinds of fun stamps, rollers, fabrics and found objects and then form a mug, base and a comfy handle.
Each participant will be able to choose from one of my glossy studio glazes and I will fire and glaze your pot and it will be ready for pick up in 4-6 weeks. Shipping can be arranged for an additional fee if you are visiting from out of town and want a fun surprise delivered to you.
Please come with an open mind about how your piece will turn out as pottery can be tricky to get high quality results with in one visit. I will of course help you make the best pot you can! Most importantly we will aim to have fun and explore making marks in clay.
Accessibility: Please note that here are four steps to go down to enter my studio. I also try to keep it scent neutral so please consider not wearing perfumes or other strong scents. Thanks!
The class takes place in my home studio in the Sunset Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Once registered, I will send you more detailed information.
If you would like to find a time for you and a group of friends to come make mugs together, please email me. (kastelina@gmail.com) and perhaps can set something up!
