Current Work

I have always been quite intrigued by texture and my current obsession is with the gorgeous gestural movement of plants. I have not completely stopped carving into linoleum but I am making many embossing plates from plants local to the Pacific Northwest and those are decorating my pots of late. I am so excited about the prospect of spring so that I can increase my variety of plant explorations.

This work is made of a mid range white stoneware and decorated with underglazes while bone dry. I then fire it to cone six in my electric kiln which is fueled by energy from solar panels.
